Uniware Managed Services Privacy Policy

Uniware Managed Services values its customers’ privacy and trust in our security procedures. This policy statement governs Uniware Managed Services’ treatment of all personal information obtained from customers in relation to the use of any of its Internet services. Specifically, Uniware Managed Services sets out guidelines relating to the collection, use, and disclosure of customer information, and customer access to that information.

Collection
For the purposes of registration, Uniware Managed Services requires a certain amount of mandatory information from its customers. Our registration form contains mandatory and optional fields. You are encouraged to provide as much information as you are comfortable with, ensuring that you maximise enjoyment of our service.

The mandatory information we require includes:

  • Residential address
  • Contact phone number
  • Credit card details
  • Acknowledgement & acceptance of the Terms & Conditions

Our optional queries include:

  • Employment status
  • Education
  • Email addresses (as an alternative method of contact)

Uniware Managed Services will not collect sensitive information for any purpose. You will not under any circumstances be asked to disclose any of the following:

  • Racial origin
  • Sexual preferences
  • Political opinions
  • Religious beliefs or affiliations
  • Criminal record
  • Membership of or affiliations with a trade union or political association
  • Health information

Use
Uniware Managed Services collects mandatory personal information from its customers for the purpose of keeping customers informed about the service we provide, for necessary billing procedures, and for maintaining a database of all members using the service. Information will regularly be sent to customers via email as it comes to hand, primarily concerning developments and news on the service we provide, or your account maintenance (billing).

Uniware Managed Services agrees not to send unsolicited email of any sort to you from a third party.

Disclosure
The information given to us by customers remains confidential at all times. Uniware Managed Services will not sell, trade, rent, share, distribute or otherwise deal with your information with any third party.

We may only disclose personal customer information or other information collected at any time for a prescribed purpose if

We have your expressed consent to do so
The information is to be used for a purpose related to that which we outline when collecting the information

While on most occasions, the consent of the customer will be required before any information is made known to a third party, Uniware Managed Services may do so if in good faith, the information is

  • Deemed necessary in order to prevent harm of any sort to the customer
  • Used in order to investigate conduct which is thought to be unlawful
  • Required in order to comply with legal processes

Customers please note that such action will only be taken where it is thought to be absolutely necessary.

Access To Your Information
Customers will have access to the information which they provide Uniware Managed Services during registration at all times, and this information can be changed and updated at any time. Your information, once provided, will be stored in a secure environment, ensuring that other customers are unable to access it in any way.

Uniware Managed Services will not alter your information in any way unless your consent or request is given for us to do so. Uniware Managed Services’ staff may from time to time view your information, but it will only be in accordance with the purposes previously mentioned in the “Use” section.
